In this case, Hughes is rightly questioning the referee AND his officials for making so many crucial mistakes. He is right to highlight Clattenburg and co's mistakes today unlike Ferguson who does it everytime they lose.
I have no problems with him questioning the referee, although my personal preference is that a City manager talks about how we will improve, how we performed, where we didn't do so well rather than things outside our control.
I just think he went beyond comments on a referees performance today.
