Reminded me of Bernard Manning saying kids came up to him at Maine rd saying mind your car mister? Manning said i've got my Rotweiler in the back son, the lad says fair enough lets hope it can fuckin put out fires!

How high and far back do you think the back of the Kippax went in relation to the East Stand at the Etihad? I remember the Kippax having a ‘low rake’ or ‘shallow/small steps’.

Just checked online and as there was the shitest pitch invasion ever at Maine Road, brings me back to my previous comments about there being no fence on the Main Stand for you well behaved residents there back in the day!!!.....I am sure this was the last match of the 83/84 season where we finished 4th. I think this was a 5-0 win for City against Cambridge United. Mr Swales gave a typical attendance that day of 20,787, meaning the gound could get another 31,000 inside. Platt Lane looks a bit blurry, but there is no way another 31,000 could have got in the ground!!!.....those are City fans in there, Away seated fans back then got J block between the North Stand and Maine Stand, apart from when Newcastle and Sheffield Wednesday visited and they got Platt Lane and the usual section of The Kippax.
