All seated stadiums as killed the atmosphere at all the stadiums,thank fuck I was about in the 70s and 80s when you could stand with your mates home and away and pay on the gate.

true. I imagine a lot of us have stood/sat in many places on the Kippax.
Ive sat on the front wall, the wall top to bottom next to Gene Kelly, Piccadilly Radio tunnel and tunnel opposite the Main Stand police box. Stood 6 foot up on the very back under the roof, and up the main support girders. Never did the floodlights though.

I shudder now thinking back to standing on that beam on the back wall with the very large spikes sticking in to my shoes

On the white wall,near to where it becomes black, is where I watched most of my early City games from as a ten year old in 1952/53 season. My uncle and his mate used to stand behind on the first step of the terrace.

Few random ones from the 90's. Think one game was a Stockport boys local final and the others from a stadium tour. No idea about the night match from the North Stand but looking at the kit im guessing 97. Things have definitely moved on!

Daft question but does anyone have any photographs of the interior of the old Platt Lane stand?. I first went in 1979 and 99% of the time i was in the Kippax but very occasionally i went in there, in fact the first home Derby i attended was the 2-0 in 1979 and strangely i was in there at the back. i think it was turned over to away fans mid 80s and i probably only sat in there about half a dozen times so i have zero recollection of the interior or very little.

Am i correct in thinking all the toilets and 'catering' was outside and a mirror image of the old Kippax?, was there a concourse?
