Oldham Athletic thread

looks like they did not hit rock bottom last season after all, but now 2nd bottom in national league it's getting closer

Will it ever be the right time.to merge some of the old Lancashire clubs? Oldham, bury and Rochdale all had rough times and may all end up with no club, could they not look at a joint venture, Oldham and bury like Brighton and Hove?

they will say we are too proud to be merged into one club ? it's our club, we support our local teams.
well, clearly not enough people from them towns do care enough to support them through thick and thin,
they should be going to the games, giving them money for better players and build a future,

Oldham will fall and fall until it's gone ? not just because of the money, but because of the people of Oldham.
not enough of people care about their local football club,

they need help, Bury Oldham Rochdale should think about a merge or become a feeder club to the big teams

You might catch a couple with that.

A merger wouldn't be supported by the majority of fans. A few non-league teams might benefit from people needing a football fix but most would probably just watch the PL on the telly.
