if he stays and actually develops at lb, he could end up a very special player. a lot of talent/upside in possession.
I’ve been infinitely more impressed with him as our top of the league left back than I have Chilwell at mid table Leicester.

The only player who looked like opening up Watford in the 1st half , some nice crosses into the box but our forwards just not on the same wavelength ,he's developing into a half decent full back.

He did some very good things today again especially early on. His attitude is fantastic. However he is still prone to lapses in concentration and I think long term we still need a left back. I would definitely keep him in the squad though. I think Pep is a fan

Imagine if he played in his natural position , left sided midfield , he could be quite good :)

He lost his marking at 3-1. Good game otherwise.

He was being asked to do far too much in attack first half imo, because DS & Gundogan had no inspiration at all, & he did produce one of the most dangerous moments. Second half he found himself in centre mid sometimes & did ok.

His fullback play in general though, was just wrong & he has no recovery pace. Watford knew it & kept playing passes behind him, but some shit bloke overhit every single one, to another shit bloke who then chased each one out of play, which was quite funny.

A little star , his passing and awareness is excellent. His defending is getting better every game. Would walk into any other premier league first team.

He really is a top class technical footballer. Full backs, in our system, just have a more difficult job if there is a quick possession turnover, because they play so high. Given what he brings when we have the ball, it nore than compensates. Great attitude around the club too.

Been encouraged to see how quickly his stamina has improved. I think it was late in the Chelsea league game that he went down with cramp, which was understandable given his playing time, but now he looks significantly stronger. Indeed, I would imagine he ran more than Walker on Saturday, though that's just an impression. The fact that Guardiola chose him against a physical side such as Watford is also significant, as previously he'd likely have given Danilo the nod, who is physically stronger. However, the danger of playing a right-footed player at left-back was all too evident at Newcastle, and, subsequently, we've looked far more balanced with Zinchenko playing there. We should still be realistic and expect mistakes in that area, particularly if the supporting winger/midfielder switches off, but at the moment it's his position to lose.
