Been encouraged to see how quickly his stamina has improved. I think it was late in the Chelsea league game that he went down with cramp, which was understandable given his playing time, but now he looks significantly stronger. Indeed, I would imagine he ran more than Walker on Saturday, though that's just an impression. The fact that Guardiola chose him against a physical side such as Watford is also significant, as previously he'd likely have given Danilo the nod, who is physically stronger. However, the danger of playing a right-footed player at left-back was all too evident at Newcastle, and, subsequently, we've looked far more balanced with Zinchenko playing there. We should still be realistic and expect mistakes in that area, particularly if the supporting winger/midfielder switches off, but at the moment it's his position to lose.
