When it comes to Delph vs. Zinc it depends who the opponent is, but also who in our team is playing. Pep always looks at ways to attack the opposition. It's obvious when we attack in the final 3rd Dave is the key to unlock the opposition on the left. With him not starting Dave I think he wanted to find solutions on attacking from that side. It looked like Zinc was almost a deep lying playmaker. For the 1st goal he puts in a good ball to find Sane in on the left which eventually Bernardo scores. Zinc also put in a cross sitting deeper from the left which also almost found Jesus. I think that caught Bournemouth off guard and they though they'd be defending deep. But Pep was looking at ways to find space behind them from deeper. Delph is always better defensively, but Pep wants to score and Zinc can put in better balls then Delph. Putting Delph in with little creativity could lead to us not scoring as much.
I don't think Delph brings anything to City. At least Zinch can play constructive football.

He was a bit more proactive on the ball, but still nowhere near his actual ability.

Defensively, he is an absolute liability & makes Ashley Young look like Stuart Pearce.

I'd sell him. Not really a reflection on him but more to do with our need to get a professional left-back and him being one of the few we could sell for decent money. Sell for £15-20mil and try and get Bertrand from Southampton

I agree, unless he's considered a genuine candidate for midfield.

We would be better off with a young fullback rather than a young midfielder, not considered good enough to ever play in midfield, playing fullback.

Great passer of the ball but lacks pace at full back
He should not be playing full back, I thought Pep hung him to dry last night sadly.

In our half he was atrocious on the back foot, he didn't really understand what he'd been asked to do, because it certainly wasn't an orthodox attacking full back, on the front foot however, in both halves of the pitch he was excellent, showing a great range of passing, and overlapping Leroy a few times to put in decent crosses.

Just before he was taken off, Pep called him over, and gave him something of a lengthy lecture about his play (I assume defensively), then 2 minutes later hauled him off without him being involved again, what was the point of that lecture, if he was taking him off anyway.

What I'd liked to have seen is him pushed into midfield to replace Gundogan, with Delph replacing him, Pep please lets see what he can do in midfield, before its too late, and he leaves, because to me he looks a very decent attacking midfielder, and they generally cost a lot of money

Delph is a very good footballer being played out of position. He is a midfielder and a good one at that and I believe would get into any other premier league team in his preferred position

Angelino is about 4 times the FB Zinchenko is. Just saying :)

...and Angelino probably isn't good enough for City as it stands. He'd still be a damn sight better backup than Zinchenko though.
It's almost like we should just bring Angelino back and let Zinchenko play DM??? Save so much money.
