£16M would be solid business. He’s had a decent season playing at LB, but chances are he won’t feature much this year which means his resale value is about as high as it’ll get this summer in this squad.

It sounds as though we’ll spend £110M odd on Mahrez and Jorginho. If we can trim the edges of the squad with a few sales to bring our net spend right down then we can probably win the league this season with focus on bigger spending next summer, when we’ll probably have to start looking to replace Aguero and reassess the squad another year on.

My friend works for city and said he's possibly the nicest lad in the squad. Those weather comments were tongue in cheek humour. He's lovely and he is actually happy here. Worth bearing in mind before anyone gives him a hard time...

Not particularly happy to see him go, but can certainly see him doing a job for Wolves. Would also be good to see him play as a No.10 more regularly.

I don't doubt that.

His best position is where we have our own youth players coming through (although maybe none as clearly left sided). It seems a decent deal all round to me. £16m for a player with 500mins of Premier league football is crazy really.

He's played very well this season. I'm surprised at this news especially as he was key for us for a few months when Delph and Mendy out.

What did we pay for him? Just trying to work out if we’d make a net profit on the £16m. I assume we will

Think it was about £1m.

Good & fair deal all round. Cheap signing, got a good loan, then good minutes and a career making move to the Premier League.
Good deal for him, good deal for City & City look like we're helping players develops a career.

Let's see if he goes. He's only 21. He might conclude that he can afford to give it another season at City and see how it goes. His game developed hugely last season. Probably one of the surprises of our season.

City could probably be OK if we let him go, but it's a risk because Mendy's injury was severe and we don' have left sided cover. Delph was a bonus but for me he doesn't overlap in the way Zinchenko was able to do, and Laporte did not look comfortable at all at left back. I think he's better at left midfield than at left back but I don't think people realise what an amazing season he had for a 21 year old in what was effectively his debut season in a top flight league.
