Fair enough, I’m not trying to argue we don’t.Pace being the operative word.
We need a new left back at the club

Based on what mate?Have to disagree with pretty much 100% of that
Think he's a very good player who has got betterZinchenko is currently our best left footed left back.
He played left back against Villa. Villa stopped attacking after Coutinho scored, so he largely became a winger for the last 20 mins or so.
Zinchenko coming on in the Parc des Princes last season helped win us the game in the semi final against PSG.
He, like most players, fuck up occasionally. West Ham and every visit to St Mary’s spring to mind.
However, he’s a damn good left back. If he had Walker’s pace, he’d be unplayable.
what kind of bullshit is this? Zinchenko may be good technically but he is god awful as a full back. he can play as an inverted fullback because of his midfield days but that is about it. put him on the touchline he is no good added to the fact he gets rinsed every single time it is a no brainier to bin him off and get a balanced fullback like CucurellaEven as an out and out full back Zinchenko is better. Cucurella may only be better defensively and may have a better turn of pace, but aside that Zinchenko is far more capable and technically sound.
did you forget Cucurella plays in shit teams and Zinchenko plays for a pep side, put Zinc in any other lower ranked side as a fullback he would be absolute shit headless chickenWhilst this is true, Zinchenko created more chances per 90 minutes than Cucurella did, it’s just that Zinchenko played 15 games to Cucurella’s 35.
What is different is the way they attack as OZ cuts in more than MC would.
Being an attacking full back isn’t just about going at their opposite number in a Pep team.
I think that Cucurella is much better defensively and 4km/h quicker.
What I think a lot of people are doing on here is underselling OZ’s attacking input and ability to retain the ball through the opposition press.
He is not “god awful” as a full back.what kind of bullshit is this? Zinchenko is an incredibly gifted footballer, especially technically and mentally. He would never be a headless chicken, wherever you played him.did you forget Cucurella plays in shit teams and Zinchenko plays for a pep side, put Zinc in any other lower ranked side as a fullback he would be absolute shit headless chicken
nope just put him against a team with someone who can run or a big guy who can challenge in the air he will be like a deer in a headlight. did you forget all those games he looked like a deer in a headlight? a few good moments in games don't change the fact he is not a fullback let alone for a top teamHe is not “god awful” as a full back.
That’s unbelievable hyperbole on your part.
No, but then every defender has had bad games.nope just put him against a team with someone who can run or a big guy who can challenge in the air he will be like a deer in a headlight. did you forget all those games he looked like a deer in a headlight?
