One for the plane spotters

A mate of ours flies for emirates out of Dubai - he says its a piece of cake. Sits down, presses the "go to new york" button and falls asleep... or something like that.

My dad was a wireless op but still took turns flying lancs, wellingtons, halifaxes, sunderlands and catelinas back from bombing the Hun.

My next job ;-)
Is Swissair still in business GD? I ask, as I was in the airline business years ago, as a passenger sales rep in Northern England,
first for British Midland, then Varig Brazilian, now sadly defunct, and used to meet up with other reps regularly, including Swissair.
In those days, most national carriers were state owned, as I think Swissair were, but those days are long gone.

Swissair aren't, no. They went bust in 2001 primarily as a result of 9/11 and overexpansion. Swiss were built out of Crossair and are now part of Lufthansa.
