One Small Gripe About The New Stand

surprised no one has come up with a Beer Drone idea .... stick a few rotors on a few hundred mini fridges and have them fly around the stands :p

Can they keep half time beer fresh if they start pouring when the match starts? Would a lid on the pint help? How do other clubs do it?

Queue for the bar in the new "Premier" section too. Plenty of space though.

If you mean the 93:20 section, you do realise there are two separate bars with a walkway joining the two, I went into the far one and there was no queue there

Think the whole stand would be tonnes better aswell if we didn't have to share it with the increased amount of away fans haha :)

But best thing to do about the excess queing, is to simply head to the concourse a min or 2 before added time comes up.

Design gripe - compared to the smooth curve of the orginal, the gutters down to the rain chutes are horrible, but just straight box sections bolted together at a slight angle; they're bound to leak at the joints.

I did this at SS L1 at 40 minutes and the queue was already 6/7 deep at both bars, and John Smiths was off. So i retired back to my seat.

The staff don't seem trained, young girl about 18 looked shell shocked and close to tears at half time, especially with everyone shouting at her and colleagues. If they just hired experienced events/sports catering staff, rather than students from a village in Warwickshire never been to a match before, might help.

At the rugby internationals at Twickenham they have a couple of guys continuously drawing pints and storing them on the back of the bar the rest are serving. They work through to build up a good stock 20 minutes before the game, same 10 minutes before half time, and ten minutes before the final whistle.

Not rocket science you sell more beer and keep the queues down and moving. Trouble is it needs leadership and team work and with different kids every week and pour training it's not likely to happen any time soon at our ground

Also, SS L1 has an extra food gaff but no extra bar. So we have more fans coming across to the same amount of bars and staff. That equalled 0% chance of drink and I wandered up at 40 minutes. I have a tactic to avoid this in future, but not sharing as i'm not waiting longer for a bad John Smiths :-)

You mean that there is a good John Smiths? Where can this never heard of decent pint of Smiths be found :)
