For me it was 'Room for the Life' by Kate Bush.
Without going into too much detail I was 17 and I played it one night when I was, with hindsight, at a crossroads in my life.
Completely turned my life around.

Grew up on that cack.

One song which changed my life was Emperor - Curse you all men! From an Earache label sampler back in the 90s which I picked up for about £3. This was the moment I found true extreme metal from my previous years of listening to punk and new wave.

I'll have you know that it was me who got you listening to the Sex Pistols! ;-)

This is true. But you also tortured me with Kate Bush and others. Only artists I appreciate from my childhood are the likes of various punk outfits and Gershwin.

I didn't know you appreciated that Gershwin CD?! Lol
Although I do know that you liked the Mozart one ;-)

One moment in time - Whitney Houston. Was on the radio when I was driving back from my first win as a golf pro (only northern pga region so prize was about £400) Nearly crashed the car from weeping thinking about telling my Mum and Dad (no mobile phones back then)

Great song with a mantra in it.

He ripped it off.
It was basically a cover 'He's So Fine' by the Chiffons.

It was my dad's all time favourite song by the way (God bless him).

Don't say shit like that no need

It's 100% true. There is a 'mash' on YouTube which shows it exactly as it is.
It's a great song without a doubt but it is a cover version and a rip off.

Indian summer - the doors. Reminds me of a time in my life when I lost one of the people who I loved most in this world. A beautiful simplistic song that touches my soul, takes me back, fills me with sad, beautiful and painful memories. It hurts to miss people and it hurts to be reminded of the times you don't get to have anymore. It's bittersweet but it's a song I love and it's very personal to me

Just heard them both and i think rip off would be a bit strong, i play a bit of guitar(badly) and i have always wondered with regards copyright of music, i have been messing around with scales and chanced upon something that sounds decent, thing is have i based it on something i have heard? is it original and unless i have listened to and remembered every song ever made how would i know?
