3 points beats 2 points every time. Points win leagues not undefeated streaks.

When the loss is to your league rival giving them 3 points instead of 1 for a draw, a win and a loss is certainly not better than two draws.
See

So on one instance you are saying? What about the other 19 teams we play?

We beat United twice last season taking 6 points of them and we only won the league with the last kick level on points.

Our next two away games are Newcastle and Sunderland. Would you take two draws and still be undefeated or one win and one defeat?

No contest. It has to be the ''one win, one defeat'' option (seeing as there's no ''two wins'' choice!).

Exactly! Of course two wins would be better but it seems some people would rather have the undefeated tag but be worse off in points.

Do they, or are you just presuming they think that because their pleased and proud that we are on a long unbeaten run?

If you go away from home and take an average of 2 points a game and 90% of your home games you'd be very unlucky not to win the league...

Ill take a win and a draw compared with a win and a loss like last year yes.

Then we'd be on for 91 point if we beat the scum next week.

-- Sun Dec 02, 2012 7:36 pm --

Not a prediction, it's just using like for like results which still have us up on last season.
