Open Letter on Season Tickets and Pricing | Club announce price freeze on "general admission season tickets & PL match tickets" for next season (p163)

So your not the resident racsim judge? Glad I didn't underestimate your hidden shallows

The indian fan wasn't a m8 never met him just a guy who followed the city matters election rules then Sir OBN came up with a residency qualification post election as a way to defeat him Trump has nothing on Kevbin .
That only came to.light because I.kept a tally.of the votes maybe more were excluded but that's the past and we should deal with today.

Having spent 5 years attending OCS meetings and spending many hundred of hours with Sir OBN as a fellow chancer and opportunist myself I know one when I see one trust me on this it's noble cause corruption of the highest no one wins but the bad guy crime in this case does pay

I know from your post you say dont know the facts or Sir OBN but choose to believe an alternative evidence free conclusion to the truth its a brave way to live.

I'll join in saluting your genuinely radical philosophy & approach to life and to Alex and the 7 independent supporter group's trying to hold the club to account.

.

To be fair Uwe, we've been discussing the price of match tickets more than the price of season tickets. And the sale of home tickets. And the allocation of away tickets. But you do have a point.
We may have been discussing it but who decided what was the most important issue to the extent it needed a direct and public letter to the chairman signed of by the majority of supporters groups?

If you did a good job with the Canal Street Blues, I will salute your efforts too.

There’s a lot if chancers about lol.

I don’t think all the groups would have seen flexi-golds as the main issue to raise but for some it was numero uno. I know they / FGs have been discussed to death so I am not trying to reopen that debate.

FWIW, I agree with the posters who say excessive match day ticket prices should have been given a bigger focus. That said, top effort by all those involved so far.

I’ve no idea how the badges for the letter were collated. You seemed to give the impression that Kevin and the OSC weren’t supporting the letter. Anyone can make a genuine mistake.

Tim.

Come on mate.

That isn't a genuine mistake. I'm assuming Kevin Parker and the OSC, 'which is affiliated to the club', must have know about the letter, the other groups who signed it, and the OSC were invited to do likewise. A mistake is not the reason why the OSC didn't sign the letter. As I've already posted, the OSC supported the letter via City Matters. City Matters doesn't represent the OSC or its members.

Keven Parker is one of the City Matters Reps.

We now have over 300 Branches worldwide and almost 20,000 members.

There needs to be a starting point. Ticket prices, etc, can be added to the discussion as it goes along. Hopefully?

My take is that the club have already made their minds up about season ticket and match day ticket prices for next season. Everything has already been factored in. We're now February.

Kevin Parker had written out to members and the OSC supported the letter as part of City Matters. Congrats to Alex on his role in getting the letter written etc.

Changing the subject. There’s been two very negative threads against the OSC on here in the last few days. If there is a concerted campaign against OSC on here (not you John) it’s a bit sad, really and I hope it ends better than the last attempt lol.
I hope you don’t think because I was asking questions that I was being negative @Tim of the Oak ? I was just curious. :-)

i find it hard to believe it was a mistake as well. I’m sure Kevin told city matters that’s a great idea but we don’t want to be seen pushing it we don’t want to rock the boat. You put the letter out there and we’ll retweet it and agree with it but ultimately it’s noting to do with us.

Are we supposed to believe that an email was sent about the letter and wasn’t replied to by OSC with all the members they have and no follow up phone call was made to say what do you think of the email are you on board or not

Thanks getting CSB going was a team effort I was just a bit part real credit goes to the work of Lou of Football V Homophobia laying the ground work since 2006. ( Her relationship with city was poisoned by Sir OBN as he couldn't compete )

No one is irreplaceable new ideas and people are needed in every area of the club the OSC is a gerontocracy out of time touch and credibility.

next time you see the executive at the AGM ask them to publish the the formula used to allocate away tickets to groups its like the recipe for coke only known to a select few in this case a select one

I think before we send a letter to the chairman pertaining to represent all fans we should actually ask the fans what their main concern is. Season ticket holders are a small minority of our fans base , the ability to buy individual match tickets and not be rejected while they spring up on re seller sites with no criteria is a much bigger barrier to the legacy fan base. Strangely the upper echelons of the supporters groups who are all likely season ticket holders choose to ignore that and send a letter to the chairman asking for a reduced price of season tickets next season
I think the reason this has come up now is because we are heading towards that time of year when season ticket renewals are about to come out.
I do agree with you that match day tickets are a much bigger issue though.

I was on about you making a genuine mistake lol.

it’s just my personal opinion but if the OSC had
much input into the letter, the flexi-gold stuff wouldn’t have been front and centre. preserving concession prices has been a bigger issue at OSC Meetings.

Credit to Alex and Co for getting everyone on board.

They have to start off with a leading gambit.

Concentrating solely on season tickets may have been what was decided?

I don't know.

You'll have to ask them.

Alex is always responsive, upfront, and honest.

Regardless of what is front and centre at the OSC, the OSC should have added its name to the letter, not via City Matters.

Let's see what happens in the coming days and weeks before the season ticket and match day ticket prices for next season are emailed out.

Hopefully the discussions won't be NDA'd again?

Some might say that it’s hypocritical of fans to want to enjoy all the success and glory that operating in a free market economy can bring to a club while at the same time expecting the club to abandon those free market principles when it comes to ticket pricing.

I’m just playing devil’s advocate, I can see both sides.

But if somebody had said to me in 2008 “hey Axel, 16 years from now you won’t enjoy going to the match anymore, partly because the ground is full of gloryhunting tourists who feel no real passion for City and partly because many of the fans from the old days have been priced out of going BUT in the meantime you’re gonna see City win everything and dominate football do we have a deal” ….well I’d have bitten their hand off

The letter has gone in to early in my opinion.
The costs for next season are still under review as there is a real anxiety within the club that we could end up in the Europa League.

That means lots of Sunday non televised games.

Not quite true for your final point. The tv deal changes from next season, so armchair fans will see more games that are moved to Sunday.

Apologies forgot about the new tv deal.

I'm just thinking of those younger fans playing football themselves on a sunday and rather than rush to the Etihad they can now watch at home.
