Maybe the plan is to reduce season ticket numbers so they can make more revenue from single match tickets so they can then reduce the price of season tickets.Did our protests in the 80s and 90s achieve anything? Swales was still in power more than ten years after the "Swales out" chants began.
We kept admission prices at a reasonable level to retain fans after we slumped from 5th in the old first division in 1991 to the third tier just seven years later.
The recent ridiculous price rises are due to our success, but there must be a way to get a better balance in order to retain long-term fans while still attracting new ones.
If this is the case the ground will become (if it isn’t already) a heady mix of old buggers, tourists and rich locals!
