we had a meeting last night, the usual people were there inc dave and steve from kotk, danny wilson, vicky and co from the club.
it was to update us as to where the enquiry was up to have taken on board all our points of view from the last meeting, the results of the "bluemoon" poll were discussed too.
the upshot is that there is no logical way the away fans can be moved at this time, the disruption to the ground does not make the upheaval worth the while.quite rightly the thoughts and wishes of the season ticket holders have to be paramount including the safety of the exiting etc. i think the club should be respected for looking at this with so much work and detail, a lot of time and effort has been spent looking at every single angle to get something done about moving the away fans. i feel we missed a trick on day one, if the majority of fans would have known we were giving up the best seats in the house that was the time to change it, too late now.
The club have put the away fans issue at the very top of the agenda to be discussed should the ground be extended in any way, whereas there are no designs/ plans yet drawn if and when we do develop the stadium you can be rest assured our owners will get it just right. we need safety, banter and exiting all spot on to make eastlands a fortress but a friendly one.
