really??

have you googled david platt and MCFC tonight and seen the sheer reaction to this guys appointment across all city forums...i would definitely say you are in the minority on this one mate

So? Its still an embarrasing overreaction on this and those on the other forums.

I'm no fan of the guy, I think he's an awful pundit, and a poor manager, but he's not managing the team is he? He's not picking the tactics or making decisions, nor is he being groomed to take over should Mancini fail. For all you know, he might be a very good coach, and know his stuff. Platt is part of the backroom team, so you'll rarely see or hear him, he has no major influence.

First team coach would suggest otherwise mate....surely he will be deciding tactics and training those players to play in those positions, so his role will be one of the most intense at the club

How can we employ someone who dislikes City. He will become an assassin from within and cause trouble from his first day because he has no respect or passion for City...

He is definately someone looking for the money!

Ricster, i think we should dress up as Mr Potato Head for the first game and wear Platt Out t-shirts. I'm in 109 near you now so the plan could work!

Just Look at the england team with pearce as a coach there beliefs will rub off on the players

i have seen mancini and platt in rosso, in manchester at least 2 maybe 3 times together (with other advisors etc) having a right laugh (platt was actually a really nice fella). They are big mates from Sampdoria days.

He's a prick, but you can always rely on Bluemoon for hilarious overreactions. I'm waiting for someone to say they're never setting foot inside the ground whilst he's here. Or has that been done already?
