this is a `job for my mate` appointment & that is why it shows mancini in a different light. The guys cv is abysmal & how the top men at city have sanctioned this is a mystery. I really dislike the guy for his TV stuff about us and his record as a manager is atrocious. I - as said previously - don't want the guy near my club, but he is here now. I simply won't acknowledge he is here. I won't comment on him further - either on this Forum or in general conversation - and I won't cheer him. If he allows Roberto to do his thing then fine but I can see what's going to happen already. We are going to go back to the Sam Ellis way of thinking and when things get tough we will have a ready made scapegoat. Some of the comments on here about 'Platt Out' t-shirts are embarrassing whether joking or not. To me this season is bigger than any other in my life, and I won't let it be tainted by my dislike for one individual on the staff. This thread should be locked now mods. We have had our say now let's move on. CTID.

He's hired him because he's his mate & he gets on with him, no other reason. He's a shit coach who hates City & works for television. By appointing him Mancini has made his own job much much harder & any leeway fans were willing to give him will dissappear if results are even slightly below par. Then stories will mysteriously 'leak' to the media. Who can guess where from?

I don't like what he's said about City and I hate seeing him or listening to him on telly full stop. But I am more concerned about his lack of success in management and coaching roles.

He was useless at Forest and alienated several players. I know Forest fans hate him more than we do. He had a little bit of success with U21s but if I remember correctly he then went ages without a win and didn't qualify for a major tournament. And he would never play SWP when he deserved a go.

And what has he done in the last 5 or 6 years apart from pop up on telly and slag everyone off as if he was best manager ever.

How many of us, if we were out of work in the job we normally do, would walk straight back into a role 5 years later. And not just a role in a small organisation but in one which is really going places and is appointing the top people in all positions within the company.

Platt you don't deserve this job and we don't deserve you.

This appointment is a joke, it undoes all the great news we have had of the new signings this week and the rumours of more to come .

This man is a complete and utter twat, and I for one do not want him anywhere near this club.
