OS: David Platt joins City [Merged]

If this **** is sat in the dug out on match days then it's going to be embarassing. Everyone will boo the rubber faced tosser and deservedly so but it will be spun by the media we have turned on our own team and manager, when in fact we do not want someone so anti-city to suddenly wear our colours cos the chance of having a piece of the city pie has fell in his lap. I for one will not hesitate to boo this fucker I hate him Burn him! Burn him! Burn him!

Always hated Platt, and he has had a downer on us, especially since the take over. I dont rate his previous work either, he'll probably just end up being head of cones, and every once in a while help Mancini with the lingo.
I totally understand peoples reaction to this but I'll stop short at signing any petition, or being part of any protest, I just think it may be better to bite our lip on this one, I mean look at what our new owners have done to this club, protesting against Platt, is indirectly protesting against our owners, they employ Mancini who in turn has chose to employ Platt. I honestly dont think we'll see or hear much from him anyway.

Honestly some of you wouldn't get so excited if we signed Messi. He's just another coach FFS. I didn't like Fazackerley, I thought he was a fucking useless ornament but it didn't stop me wanting the team to do well while he was here.

Whatever he's said in the past he's entitled to a clean slate once he starts at City, judge him on what happens in the future not the past.

Not posted for bit

spot on, we don't like him but so what. Anyone planning to boo him or start petition's etc are just being soft. It's the best time in our modern history with great things ahead of us and a sizeable percentage of people seem to want to throw a hissy fit over an appointment that prob will have little or no effect on them or on City's performance.
This board (and City fans in general) never cease to amaze me

sorry mate he is not wanted at our club and you can't change peoples feelings so easily especially about someone so despised as platt

Say all you want about Platt, but who will be damaging the club most, he, or the City "Fans" who will hold protests, boo him on match days, and hold banners telling him to fuck off?

Christ it's not like he's our new manager, he's a coach, so his previous failings have no relation in his new role

Well it's tough shit isn't it, Mancini's the manager and he can appoint his own staff so we either accept it or stay away, there's not much point going on about it and nor can I see how booing him at matches is going to help things.
