OS: David Platt joins City [Merged]

I hate this guy more than any other fuckwit pundit and he hates City too but not enough to turn down the coin from our majestic owner the great Sheikh now eh? Fucking hypocrite why not bring in Zola FFS - that twat Platt (a rhym going here....) does nothing but slate the blues at every opportunity, what a fookin ckoc smoker he is :-(
 
completely not arsed about platt,there are bigger days ahead for manchester city and platt is just a another coach in the background that may help city forward but we wont notice it!

to much drama on here tonight for somebody who was paid to give an opinion on all things football,tell me if i am wrong but all the times he slated us we were not exactly setting the world alight with our stunning football for the past 5 odd years were we?

They know he's going to be unpopular but they did it anyway. I think it's a fair bet the timing is no accident... Silva is the spoonful of sugar before the medicine. (although aren't you supposed to give the sugar AFTER the medicine...hmmm...I wonder what might be announced in the next 48 hours)

Between us we probably despise every single pundit... there is a difference between getting annoyed at a TV persona and having genuine reservations over someone's suitability for an appointment, but 90% of this thread is the former, 10% the latter. Anyway, once people decide they don't like someone, that will colour their judgement.

I'm not convinced that he's a shining light in the coaching world, but, how would I know? How would any of you lot know? He convinced enough people to give him a job as manager despite having no experience. He must have some sort of positive reputation, he must have impressed a few people on some score. It seems he's not found a way to translate whatever strengths he has into becoming a successful club manager, but that obviously won't be his role here.

I think it's a positive sign: the lunatics are not running the asylum. There is some sort of leadership in place. You know you're in trouble when decisions are made to placate the fans. Newcastle/Allardyce/Keegan/Shearer being the biggest example of that in recent memory.

Sorry mate but whenever I've seen him the guy chats utter shit as a pundit.
Whenever he's commented on City its usually negative,derogatory bollocks.
Ask Forest fans about his ability as a coach...don't think you'll find he pulled up any trees while he was there.
Average player,average pundit-lucky bastard at our expense.

Shocking appointment IMO.
