Platt is another Venables.................Never be a good manager but his coaching skills are well known for all involved in the game.
As i have said before it was brought to the powers above of the lack of communication in training as a big downfall with Mancini.
If Platt works as a go between and gains respect from the squad.....Bobby has pulled off a masterstroke in this appointment.
That is quite possibly the most ridiculous thing i have ever read on this site....Platt is another venables ffs
I give up, but when this twat has caused untold problems and disruption to the club i hope you`ll have the guts to apologise.

From Wikipedia:

Within months of leaving Arsenal, Platt returned to Sampdoria as manager, a controversial stint which ended prematurely, with other clubs protesting that Platt did not have the appropriate coaching qualifications for managing in Serie A. Platt resigned before Sampdoria were relegated to Serie B.

In July 1999, Platt was appointed manager of Nottingham Forest, who had just been relegated from the Premier League. He actually made a playing comeback in the 1999–2000 season, playing three Division One games, and scoring once against Crystal Palace at the start of the following season.[1]

He was manager at the City Ground for two seasons, but had little success despite spending several million pounds on players who did not perform well and plunging the club into large sums of debt. Platt's tenure at Forest was marred by disagreements with several experienced, long-serving players, leading to them being isolated from the first-team picture and subsequently released by the club. He is still hugely unpopular with many Forest fans who blame him for the club's decline on and off the field during the 2000s, which culminated in relegation to the league's third tier four years after his departure.

Does anyone reading that seriously believe that this dickhead is going to take us into the top 4 and Champions League?

Re: give it a rest.

Some City fans are desperate to moan like little bitters and will look for any excuse.

We've a season of it to come, Mancini could win 37 games in the league but lose the last one and this place would explode with the righteous anger of the terminally retarded and bitter membership.

Just as the club will now attract the plastic glory hunters so too will we start to lose the people who found some weird kudos in supporting a shit team like it made them a 'real' fan where as a Manc born season ticket holding rag could never be that 'real'. It's pathetic and so far beneath me that typing this post has made me feel ill.

The only slight problem I have with David Platt is that he's a washed up, over valued, rag wanking, puppet of a man who'd be far better off advertising Tizer on daytime TV in the Channel Islands than pretending to be a football coach.

Apart from that, his appointment is a disaster on every level.

Those reservations aside, he can fuck off.

Re: give it a rest.

Gary Neville next then eh?

Got to draw the line somewhere.

Re: give it a rest.

David Platt is a legend if only for this goal.

Good luck to him.

People who feel strongly about Platt at City.

Why not rip up your season cards?

Boycott the club until he's out?

Nah, much easier to make internet petitions that no one cares about or facebook groups that all your mates join without reading once.

If you want to protest then do it properly.

I suspect that you all just really like moaning and have no intentions whatsoever of putting your words into action. It's all piss and wind.

Krishna.

Is this a riddle?

The line should have been drawn before GENUINE RAG LEGENDS like Hughes, Cole and Schmeichel joined the club.

After watching Hughes rape the club, I'd see Neville captaining the club as a huge improvement.
