Oscar Pistorius

The bathroom door was locked from the inside. I don't know many burglars who break in through a bathroom window, lock the door and then help themselves to your shampoo and shower gel.

There is no way he could have perceived a threat from behind a locked door, and at that point the simple, but forceful warning 'I have a gun, and if you come through the door I will shoot you' would be more than enough to deter any potential attacker. Nobody wants to get shot.
He started shooting before knowing whether the door was locked.

It was an interesting documentary, at times it was like a PR video for pistorius though, lots of friends and relatives wheeled out to tell us what a great bloke he was.
Prosecutor absolutely nailed him when he changed his story by saying the gun went off accidentally.
They rowed , he lost his temper, she locked herself in the toilet & he shot through the door , not a burglar in sight , that’s how I saw it .

I think it's only right to show all sides of the story, and a few of his friends go on to mention his bad side.
Overall it was a very well balanced doc' and gave us the real facts.

He still hadn't identified a threat or his target at that point and still could have/should have issued a warning.

I get where you’re coming from mate but he isn’t a trained soldier or cop!

It’s kind of like the old fight or flight analogy - you don’t know what you’ll do until you’re in the moment.

Not saying he’s innocent mind.

Do you not think it’s a bit of a leap to go from someone who had no record of assault, no reported domestic abuse, to suddenly murdering your girlfriend because you’re having an argument.

That’s what I bump on.

In the middle of the night with no legs i think rational thinking went out of the window , gun culture does not sit well with me , asking for trouble
3 out off 4 shots hit there target, that's not someone scared for their safety,he had the training and new how to handle weapons, legs or no legs,
He nothing more than a cold blooded killer,

I think you've inadvertently answered your own question in your last sentence. it also fits in with my own tinpot theory.
A friend of mine, married, working, kids, had a very serious head wound one day. A year or so later he'd lost his job, turned alchy, kicked out and ended up in nick.
Science also tells us that impacts to the frontal bit of the brain can seriously alter personality. Pistorius seems to have 'changed' after he had a massive bump to the head.
