That is because it is not a jury system. In countries where a jury is used the aim is to prevent public opinion being swayed unfairly.

Judging by this morning's cross-examination of Botha, the prosecution's case is anything but solid. In fact it's very, very shaky.
No it is not, list the reasons why you say it is shaky and I show you why it is not.
Too many to name. But a few:
'Witness' hearing screaming, who turns out to be 300m-600m away and couldn't confirm who was screaming.
Contamination of crime scene.
Failure to check if a phone call had been made to paramedics.
Failure to check on the 'testosterone' or read the full label.
