Just a thought - with all our Argentinian connections surely if there were any concerns about him not making the grade in the Premier League someone would have said something. seems like good business to me and if we keep Mangala, Otamendi has plenty of time to settle and bed in and Demi cover is sorted for next season with player who has settled and knows his team mates and our systems etc.

My point is you write Otamendi off as it's just 1 good season yet hold faith in Mangala for 8 games

You could say you are doing the same by saying Mangala had 1 bad season why write him off so soon?
