Delph will add a lot more to this squad than people think.
Pogba isn't that kind of player though....he's more of a floating spare attacking midfielder; more Zidane than Vieira. That comparison only came about because he's tall, black and French. Very politically incorrect.

Ross Barkley is more Toure-esque in his attributes, both physical and technical.

I have to admit I have only seen Pogba a handful of times but from what I've seen he has tremendous power and pace just like Yaya, great vision and passing, just like Yaya and has an eye for goal, again just like Yaya. Coupled with the fact that Vieria is on record saying he's a better box to box midfielder than he was at that age make me think you're probably wrong.

Do you think Delph will get us deep into the knockout stages of the CL?

I assumed we bought him for squad filler similar to Sinclair.
you said slotting de michelis in there doesnt fix our problem i said we have delph i didnt say he was the answer to winning champs league he will be a very important part and if we get pogba even better.

I know conventional wisdom is that you want to play a settled back line at all times possible, but I am wondering if three CB rotation for the two slots would be a preferable approach at a club like City that is going to hit that 60 competitive game mark most seasons. Real Madrid carry three top calibre CBs, obviously.

But why Mangala would need to go on loan? Still don't see how that helps us particularly. Unless the club wants to free another foreign spot for two incoming signings and Mangala comes back to take the Demi slot next year?

It only makes sense to me is he comes back in January (not next summer). Argie League starts in February right? Perfect time to send Demi home.

Pogba isn't particularly quick, and doesn't/hasn't ever played a box to box role at Juve; Vidal and Marchisio were the legs of their midfield. He's a talent, but as I've just said in another topic, if he's that good why did Bayern opt for Vidal instead? Or why did Real get Kovacic?

Most midfields in Serie A are woeful, full of journeyman Balkan players. The fact Pirlo was still dictating games there a few months ago, yet gets hammered in the MLS, is testament to how shoddy that league is.

i dont think DeMike himself thinks he's going to be a regular starter this season, only as cover when someone gets injured, suspended or rested. He would be the 4th choice on the back of the start so far this season and if Otamendi comes in.

Cant see who would come in to take DeMike off our hands based on his age tbh, more likely to see Deneayer go out on loan again, which would be a shame.

I think there are 70 million reasons why he's not gone to Bayern or Madrid.

or just the fact that Juve cant afford to lose any more players.

No its the 70 million (and the image rights of course).
