Yep, makes much more sense to loan Denayer, as opposed to Mangala., as far as I can see. Having come from the Portugese league to the PL, it makes little sense to send Mangala to Spain (which week in week out isn't as competitive) for a season "to develop". Whereas for Denayer, after a season in Scotland, he may benefit from a year in Spain.

It's a great piece of business. Only problem is lopes going on loan probably means he wont be renewing his contract and will leave after this season.

Would rather see Denayer loaned.
Playing for Valencia in La Liga would be a step up from Celtic and would help further his development.
Mangala finally seemed to be getting the hang of the Premier League in the tail end of last season and has put in a strong performance at WBM and was amongst the best 3 or 4 on field at Chelsea today. Would hate to see him move and disrupt the back 4 which seem to be gaining a real understanding now. Incidentally he tweeted this after the match yesterday. Doesn''t sound like the words of a man who will be departing next week, but then again, in football, who the hell knows.

Would it? He's supposed to be one of our Club Homegrown players. We have precious few who are capable of fulfilling that role.

Mangala's tweet doesn't strike me as that of a guy being sent out on loan for the season.

Maybe I'm nuts but I still think this is some sort of game by Mendes and we aren't even in for him.
