Otamendi

This thread is a great read for someone who's been disappointed with some of the stuff I've read about Mangala last year. Seems the lad is well on the way towards winning the doubters over. We're assembling a squad capable of fighting for four trophies and I'm sure Mangala and Otamendi will have a big part to play.

Forgive me if i'm wrong, but bringing in Otamendi and KDB necessitates getting one of the non Homegrown off the roster to make space doesn't it? Lopes going doesn't free up a space, although will be beneficial for him, so do we have any news on outgoings?

I was thinking the same thing mate......If Otamendi and De bruyne are signed....dont we need to sell/loan out someone to make room in the squad?

I think the Mangala loan link is really odd. He's improved a lot this calendar year and it would be a real kick in the teeth to loan him. I don't see a future for him at City if we loan him now.

I wonder if the loan talk is true, but they've got the wrong player. If City can pull it off, and agree a loan for Denayer over there then I'd be over the moon. We get an experience centre back who is very good at reading the game. We also send a young player to a top side for a loan spell. As long as he plays then that's an amazing deal and we can then bring him in when Demichelis goes.

This thread is mental. People have been steadily posting confirmations that Mangala isn't leaving since before the game yesterday, and yet still we are getting calls for Txiki to resign/get shot at dawn.

Can't people just recap a few pages before making fools of themselves?

We have two league spaces at the moment if Zuculini goes out on loan, which seems likely as he hasn't made the bench even with Nando and Delph out injured. I presume MDM misses out on the Champions League squad.

No. We have 15 foreign players, we are allowed 17.

This is bad news for Zuculini, and means no Iheanacho in the CL though.

nonsense. mangala has a relationship with both kompany and otamendi. it's the latter two that need to develop a partnership.

mangala will come back with more experience and demi ready to leave.

So the consensus would be Zucculini on loan again, I thought as much but has there been anything reported?

Was Otamendi and Mangala a good partnership? Maybe that's the plan and to move Kompany into the middle?
Nobody would be running right through us if that was the case. Vinny is also a very good passer. Denayer would then be a stand in for either cb or a starter in lesser games if someone needs resting.
2 league titles and 2 super cups together. 2013 was a monster year together where they were both in the shop window for Porto to see massive profits.
