After the initial intention of keeping Nicolás Otamendi, Valencia now seems to be open to the possibility of leaving out Argentine central defense. All because of financial fair play. According to Cadena SER, the Valencian club needs to make money and in the last hours the club that took the lead in the race was Manchester City in a deal that could also involve Alvaro Negredo.


The Negredo's arrival on the scene has to do with the agreement made at the beginning of last season, when the Valencia has agreed to acquire the advanced to citizens in exchange for 30.7 million euros. An amount that will have to be settled on 30 June. Now, the idea of Valencia passes for combining the two businesses:. Man City would pay an additional amount and would get Otamendi and Valencia stayed with Negredo.

On the basis of the change of Valencia's ideas are, as we said above, the financial fair play, as che are currently 10 million above the budget "authorized" (have 108 million when your limit is 98). Now, with the above-mentioned operation, the Valencian plan to balance the books and keep within limits.

This would be a great bit of business and looks like they would need to get it done in the next 7 days....Valencia are in a desperate situation by the looks of it and need to get under their FFP restrictions..this would work great for both clubs...

Sorry if this is a stupid question.....As FFP rules allowed us to use the Negredo money for the Bony purchase...how would this work, if we then swapped Otamendi, with Negredo plus 10mil?...thanks for any replies...
