I suspect it will be Jason who will goes the other way. Not in today squad. Valencia will be short in CB if they sell Otamendi to us. Denayer is young and the first team experience in Valencia will do him good. In approx 9 months, we will have CB problem with the departure of MDM and by that time Good CB may not be available. We can't let this opportunity slip. Plus, signing Otamendi now might be the difference between actually win something or almost win it this season.

Valencia is a very good club from an experience point of view, and what he learns there will not be wasted if JD is going the other way on loan.

They signed Zuculini on loan and then signed Benfica's entire midfield so that he didn't stand a chance. They won't go into their La Liga and CL campaign with a 19 year old as first choice at CB and if they do bring in an experienced centre half They won't take a risk on him as unlike us they have nothing to gain from his development. We should be loaning him to a cash strapped club that could use the playing staff.
