Moreover, there is plenty of proof that any 'paranormal' events can be explained through science or the fallibility of human nature (cheating or delusion).
I have been at peoples houses using ouija boards when I was younger and it seemed to move in a convincing way. We then went through the ritual of interpreting what the various letters might mean. Years later, people confessed to pushing the glass/pointer.
I used to wonder about this sort of stuff all the time but the more I read and see, the more I think it is all complete claptrap. All of it.
Now there is a sweeping statement, there are plenty of things that remain unexplained, don't confuse coming up with a theory as to coming up with an answer, I well remember a scientist saying that Crop Circles were the result of rutting hedgehogs!
Just where are the studies of the occult? There has never been a serious study of the occult! If you want to read a seriouse study and I mean a seriouse study, try reading Colin Wilson

That book has been out for years and years and science has moved on considerably. I read that book some time ago and it is really well written but proves nothing beyond what can be found on any paranormal or spiritualist site.
I'm not making sweeping statements. I am stating fact, there has never been any hard evidence produced to prove the existence of any paranormal or occult phenomena. None.
Science has been used to debunk many paranormal claims. As an example, many claims of sightings of ghosts and haunting phenomena have been shown to be the result of low-frequency sound caused by atmospheric changes.
Seeing as you are throwing books at me, read "Quirkology - The science of everyday lives" by Richard Wiseman which gives fascinating insights into why people believe in this stuff and how science has been used to disprove it.
