Our Best 11?

When all players are available Pelligrini tends to go with two up. Nearly every team in this thread has only one striker.

So? Doesn't change the fact that we on paper look a lot stronger with one up front, we are asked to write our own preference, not Pellegrinis.

Hart
Zabaleta - Kompany - Mangala - Kolarov
Fernando
Nasri - Fernandinho - Yaya - Silva
Aguero

With Nasri and Silva pushed forward.

I think that may have been partly down to the players at his disposal last season. Wouldn't be surprised to see us play one up front more this season, particularly in the big games away from home.

And are you confident Aguero can fulfil that role?

He did it well at Chelsea last season, and am sure he could fulfil the role, but I agree he's better alongside another striker.

I think Pellegrini will still play two up front most of the time, but at places like Anfield, The Emirates and Stamford Bridge (plus certain Champions League games) we'll be more solid playing one striker. Fernando gives us the option of a plan B which we didn't really have last season.

If you play Jovetic on the left of a front three then you get the solidity of a three man midfield, plus a foil for Aguero.

Caballero, Sagna, Demichelis, Fernando, Lampard, Navas, Dzeko

Very good first team but not too confident if we get some injuries looking at that bench. Compare it to Chelseas or Arsenals and you can see we are still lacking with creativity.

Negredo, Zuculini, Sinclair or Milner could take Lampards place on the bench tbf.
