Our glaring weakness at LB, will it be fixed?

I'm another one who has to hold my hands up and say sorry.

So Alexander I'm sorry, you've been superb in the opening games, well done lad, long may it continue,

He's been inspired and has definately clicked with Sterling in front of him thats for sure.

100% agree - Sterling has made a big difference to his performance - looks like a different player - I remember his reaction towards some fans last year when he was heckled (East Stand Lower) - today he came over to the fans after his goal - brilliant

Sterling has helped him in an attacking sense by creating space for him and the link up between those two and Silva is scary. But he has also improved a lot defensively. Again Sterling helps because he has tactical discipline and athleticism, and he played as a wing back at the Dippers so he just understands his defensive duty. But on top of that, Kolarov himself has looked brilliant. His defending from set pieces so far is exceptional. He's saved us from conceding a couple of goals. He's also done brilliantly to stop a lot of crosses coming into the box. He's been great and i hold my hands up. Long may it continue.

The impact Sterling has had on Kolarov is fantastic. I'll hold my hands up, was crying out for a LB signing but they way we are playing down that side is such a bonus.

Always liked the guy, and it's good to see him have some cover now, credit to Sterling as well (and the manager).

Sterling is the reason, clear as day

Kolarov has always been a very good player in he just needed proper cover in front of him, I'm not saying Sterling is a defensive power house but see what his pace affords Kolarov to do.

Indeed. It's much better if the fullback isn't always stranded in a 2v1.

Both our full backs have looked very tasty indeed. So far, I know it's early days but have City ever started from the starting blocks on the front foot so quickly, outstandingly impressive leaving contenders in their wake and I think Kolarov and Sagna were motm contenders in all of our games. And the full back situation was a righteous bone of contention for many City fans. Happy days. I like Zabaletta and Clichy, there's rotation of course but they've got a fucking hard act to follow.

Kolarov played in the final six games of last season, and the winning three of this. So his form may have improved simply by having a regular slot in the first team.

Great improvement, and like you say, Sterling is the key. Noticeable when Sterling went off, Kolarov didn't get forward as much, which shows he's learning too. He knows the cover isn't there so held back... Hope it continues......

If things on our left hand side keep panning out the way they are doing then I will delightedly eat my previous words.

Remains to be seen whether Kolarov's weaknesses continue to be protected as such should Sterling get injured/tired etc.
