Before we go splashing the cash on buying CBs surely the priority has to be 2 new full backs. Preferably both under 25. Kolarov and Zaba aren't up to it and I'd keep only one of Sagna and Clichy due to their ages.

That would be hilarious. Butboue links suggests we are not looking hard at fullbacks. Perhaps Pep has his eyes on Angelino and Maffeo.

or it will be some one who is unknown, hence no links until the potential transfer is close. Pep has previous for buying quite unknown players.

We should have just paid Kolarov off last summer and signed Alex Sandro, only cost £18m as well...

I tend to agree with you, which is why I believe pep will try to mold angelino and maffeo to his liking. The way we are playing they both could play as our fullbacks. Angelino especially

Not everything was going to be solved inside the first few months under Pep, the fullbacks will clearly have to be upgraded but these are positions Pep likes to move players around for despite how vital they are to his approach to the game

When we have the ball, which seems to be 60-70% of the time, our fullbacks are almost playing in a CM/DM position. I agree it would be nice if they had some height to them. This is definitely a position we will address next summer.

Also seeing were Fernandinho was playing yesterday, I wouldnt be surprised to see him on as a FB when we want Silva and Gundogan on at the same time. He is playing very deep and almost in a CB/FB role as it is. This would help us get out best 11 on the field IMO
