he has (had) the abilty to be one of the best! he might still have that lets give him a try!

I fully agree, but I think we need that additional midfielder as soon as possible, and MJ will need more time to get back to his best.

yea mate i agree but i wouldnt get anyone to replace him yet i believe he could be the difference mate but getting another wont be a bad idea mte :)

----------de Jong-----------

--Y.Toure-----------Adam--

----------Silva-------------

------Dzeko---Balo---------

de Jong - robust midfielder protects the back four

Yaya Toure - Big powerful midfielder, box-to-box role

Charlie Adam - Can control a game, and has a wide range of passing which we simply dont have at the moment, will also add to homegrown quota due to being Scottish

David Silva - Playmaker

Edin Dzeko - Poacher, will be class when he starts banging them in

Mario Balotelli - Has that one thing that defenders hate, unpredictability

Width provided by attacking full backs (Micah Richards and Aleksandar Kolarov)

How about

...............Yaya...........

......Milner..........Silva

From what i have witnessed so far, there is much better than Yaya to be found.

..DJ..Milner..
.....Silva....

Is our best midfield trio - energy, mobility, passion and creativity.

I think Yaya have better ball control, passing and dribbling than NDJ, but NDJ is a better tackler.

I think we need additional players in attack as well as midfield and let our average Jo go on his way. Will Tevez go? Perhaps but hopefully not; Will Super Mario find his form and switch up a gear and put a full shift in? Maybe. A gamble of a signing for me but I have to concede he is still only young. I would be looking for the likes of Pato and/or Aguero (who recently claimed he's had enough at A. Madrid) to bolster our forward line.
Any thoughts guys?

We need someone like Xabi Alonso, someone who can create from deep, help out de Jong defensively a little and get the ball to players like Silva, Adam Johnson and Balotelli quickly, try to cut down the build up time in attack.

That's all we need really, ofcourse backup to Silva and Hart would be good...possibly some young striker that's better than Jö, and maybe a few youngsters, maybe a centre back if Kolo Touré gets a lengthy ban from Fergie...

Next season?

---------------------De Jong
---Sneijder------------------Adam Johnson
---------------------Silva
---------Dzeko---------------Balotelli
Where's Yaya gone? We'd get raped to death by Blackburn if we only had de Jong in midfield!

;)

Edit---

On second thaughts:

_______________Hart_______________
Richards__Boateng___Kompany________
____________________________Kolarov
________________de Jong___________
______Yaya Touré___________________
_______________Silva_______________
A Johnson_____________Balotelli______
_______________Džeko______________

It ain't bad...

Plus all of Hart, Richards, Boateng, Kompany, Silva, AJ and Balotelli will be getting better with age, as well as Kolarov, Yaya and Džeko finding their best form...

Why do people keep posting their line-ups without Zabaleta in? He has been one of our best players this season and I think he's top class...

Some of our purchases this summer would not pan out. For me right now only 3 have.
Silva, Yaya and Balotelli. The other 4 are still maybes. Milner, Kolarov, Boateng, Dzeko.

Deep down, I don't think either Kolarov or Milner will pan out long term.

I've said it before, I would take Wesley Sneijder! Get him early in the transfer window and get his fitness levels up for the start of the season. He'd compliment Silva perfectly. He's more box to box, his passing range is longer, he tackles well, he finds space for himself as well as Silva and can score goals in abundance. He'd me my number one buy in the summer!

----------De Jong---------
------Yaya----Sneijder-----
-----------Silva-------------
----Dzeko-------Balotelli-----

Yaya playing more defensivly as he says he prefers it but no harm in him boosting an attack. If Yaya stays deep then play Kolarov and (whoever is at right back) high up the pitch.
It seems everyone is convinced Tevez is off. I don't actually think he would find a buyer.

Neither do I.. However it seems as if Tevez can not "blossom" when he is not the centre of Attack/attention.

I also think Tevez might not be Mancinis biggest fan and that he might want to leave but finding a buyer to meet our demands might be an issue.

I am beginning to fear for City though.. Once one player takes a hold of a team and he thinks without him the team is crap thats the beginning of the end.

With that being said you should probably know that I am a city fan today because of Tevez and I think he is absolutely fantastic however there comes a time where the club must prevail.

There is a reason why the Tevez era at United didnt work as well as it is working here! He is the same player he was back then.. nothing has changed with regards to him.. For where we wanna go we can not be a one man team!

Even Liverpool stopped relying on Gerrad :P hahah

Kaka..

1) Real wants Ade and we need an creative midfielder.

2) His injury concerns would make it easier to rotate him (more than Sneijder)

3) The risk isn't that high since we don't need Ade anyway, but the reward could be huge.. He was the best player in the world a couple of years ago.
