Owning a nice watch

Checks phone it's 20:28 didn't cost me 10 grand.

I like the constant references to the engineering and only losing a few seconds each week...

GMT/BST atomic clock time is only a google search away.

Takes a couple of mins at most to tune a watch.

It’s not an investment necessarily but as I’m buying something with money our kid left I’d like something that at least holds its own.. the Seamaster I was offered for £1500 seems to be a no brainer .. he just needs to find the box as it’s been put somewhere safe when they moved… it’s 100% legit though .. I’ve known him for years and he used to wear it at the office

I've owned a couple of these. The bracelet itself is a work of art. The watch is a modern classic, 1500 is a bit of a bargain. These will only go one way price wise.
Buy it.

Even if I won the lottery, I just couldn't imagine me spending mega money on a watch. Some of the tags under 2k are very nice watches. Something like this.....

Buying a nice watch is probably like owning a nice car, it’s what you want to be seen in, I get taxis and use my phone, no right or wrong, if you can afford a £500k watch and want get it, I’d rather buy a house.

Does your phone contain 600 parts all finely machined and assembled by highly skilled watchmakers?
Can it trace its history back 100 years or more?
Does it still work when the battery runs out?
Does it still work 200 metres under water, or on the moon?
Would you trust it with your life?
Will you leave it to your son as a treasured heirloom when you've gone? Will he look at your phone everyday and remember you?
I bet you've bought many phones in your lifetime.
You only need to buy one watch.

All valid points. I'd like to add that you'd have a hard time sticking a phablet up your arse.

It's the only watch I've regretted selling, twice.
I really miss the smp, especially in blue, like you said.
It's the perfect watch, the case size is spot on, its a strap monster, you can wear it anywhere and it doesn't look out of place.
Fuck, off to ebay
