We'll only be making a few changes with Forden starting and probably Garcia in for Ferna, Mahrez and Bernie swapping with Raz and Rodri. I suspect THB to come on for Garcia later in the match or maybe Nico if we have a decent lead. Anyone expecting a kids outing has not seen Peps Cup sides before. Oxford deserve a little respect as well they've been on a great run and aren't about to rollover for us.

Win this and I believe we will get dippers next. We are the only ones to stop these vermin, unless they’re going to be allowed to fluke/cheat their way through this as well.

Not sure if serious! They are massive underdogs to beat Villa because of the team they are likely to field. That aside, the last couple of seasons they have fielded such a weak team in this competition (and the FA cup) that they have effectively thrown the competition.

We have won 7 out of the last 8 domestic trophies , mentioning the Wigan result from a couple of years ago is rather odd , its about 30 cup games since we suffered a giant killing , maybe Pep has worked it out , eh ?

Not sure you understand my point...

And this notion of working it out...We have worked the league out in 17/18 season and 18/19 but lost more points in the first 17 games in 19/20 than in the whole of 17/18 season and as many points as the entire last season. So, you never have a 100% winning formula, that's football. No need to get complacent, play a good team, win the game in the first 45-60 minutes and then give minutes to some youngsters.

Personally, I think Pep will start with Harwood and Garcia at CB and that's fine. Gundy was subbed against Arsenal and will probably play at DM.

Now that he's back in full training ... anyone else thinks that Aguero will come off the bench to get 20 or 30 odd minutes here and then he starts against Leicester ...

If he is fit to play only 20-30 minutes, then he isn't ready to start a difficult game 3 days later. He should start and score 2-3 goals to be in contention to start against Leicester. Pep won't bench Jesus unless Kun shows top form against Oxford.

There's no way in the world that pep will pick 2 inexperienced players in probably the most important part of the pitch and rightly so. It has to be Otamendi with either Garcia or Harwood bellis at the back
