Pablo Maffeo

Had a look at how Girona were doing the other day out of interest, and they're only a couple of places above the relegation zone. Not sure that they'd risk throwing in a youngster from abroad when they're hovering over the trapdoor to the third division.

That Nigerian kid we loaned them has only made one appearance for them as well.

They are a few points off the relegation zone, and a few points off 12th place.

The league is just very condensed.

This would be a good place for the likes of Maffeo, Angelino, Roberts and the Garcias to go because of the technicality of the league but they would be slightly more protected than in the championship.

I'm fine with this. A decent level, in a country he knows and speaks the language. His family most likely not too far away and it won't be as cut throat as the lower leagues in England will be. It all makes sense.

There's no problems with him physically anyway, so he doesn't need toughening up. Given the partnership that is clearly there with Girona, there must be good faith that he will get games. which is all he needs. Experience. He doesn't need anything else as he's physically, mentally and technically ready in my opinion. He's that good.

According to this Catalan newspaper, they reckon he'll have a good chance of getting into the team in a back 4.....but they've been playing a 5-3-2 all season.

But in a previous article they talk about needing to strengthen RB, so that's a promising sign that he'll get games.

Also seems theyve had a big injury crisis.

Thanks for sharing

Will have to remember to keep an eye out for there results
