Paedophilia within the game/City launch redress scheme

I can't comment on whether there was a deal but everyone knew he was a paedo. I have never understood why parents/adults turned a blind eye to their disgusting actions.
I heard similar many times and from some serious football world figures.

The general consensus was Gradi was a wrong 'un and the reason the big clubs never went near him.

I was there from 1970 - 1975, Mrs Ford was the Headteacher and another teacher, (geography), Eric Milner was having a relationship with a girl in the year above us when we were about 13/14, we knew because her younger sister was in our year and it wasn't a great secret.

I'm pretty sure the link below is him, the dates and info seem in line but they called him "ten Bob Turner" in court. I can assure you he was "Bummer Turner" to all the kids at the time. I remember one kid who came from a very deprived background who wore his Dad's "hand me downs" including shoes that were far too big for him, he was of his main victims from our year, the poor lad spent evenings and all weekends at Turners house, I guess being sexually abused and getting fed was the lesser of two evils away from his chaotic/physically abusive home life.

One of my old school teachers who is classed as a family friend was a work colleague of this beast.

Bad news :(

The whole football abuse findings now coming to light is making me question:

Should I go to the police and inform them of the abuse and the teacher going out with a girl of around 15 whilst she was still at school? I'd imagine quite a lot of the teachers are dead but there's some that will be aged around mid 70's and up, they must have known about the abuse if the kids did, I didn't like most of them but revenge isn't a motive.

I don't get it either. My only thought is that without the internet and social media, that many people thought they could do nothing about it or maybe they were completely blind to the actual levels of abuse that was going on. But considering that so called rumour was pretty wide spread, it's odd that it was never really investigated.
I recently asked my now elderly mother. It seems it was not your role/place to question anything about people in authority. It is why priests got away with it for years. A bank manager was almost god. It is something I cannot understand about that generation.
