Palace - Post Match Thread

Great performance was nice to be able to relax for the last half an hour instead of fearing the equaliser.

Palace one of best set of fans in prem? Don't make me laugh. They were on the same level as hull and Swansea today.

Just pointing out we cannot change that team after that performance....not disrespectful....an observation

To be honest you are kidding yourself if you think that performance was anything to do with swapping Aguero for Jesus as the latter was hardly involved today. Great prospect but v poor today

Hard to believe this is the biggest win for City under Guardiola. Lovely to watch and if the referee had played advantage on that move early on it'd have been five before half time.
Would have loved to see them play like this in the Cup Final, got robbed of that.

Great performance. Special mention to Clichy and Ota who I thought did really well today.

Silva is a genius, as so often, and Kompany outstanding leadership as always, and what a strike from him!

De Bruyne and Raheem great today too, especially second half, and what can you say about Leroy, he's superb! Great attitude too.

Obviously not a fan of players running defenders out of the way, to create space for others, then? Each to their own I suppose.

Sergio take your pick for the next game if your back from injury ...

Other than fighting for every lost cause, winning a few, even assisting a goal......and often dropping into midfield to help link the play,he was hardly involved......

If that is Pep's aspiration, with some top class additions in the next window, then there is absolutely no doubt we can be in the mix for everything. The willingness to work hard is what impressed me most. Always going to be a scrap against teams like Palace, but we met them step for step, challenge for challenge and never let them dominate any area of the pitch. Worst performance on the field was Sterling...and he created one and scored a belting volley with his left (wrong) foot! Kompany and Otamendi bailed us out when we were over exposed, but solid, solid team performance and, sadly, a peek at what might have been this season.

If we can get third, add quality to the team and improve the squad, we have nothing and no one to fear next season. Pep's approach was clearly visible today, and the talent on the field executed an excellent plan.

Special mention for Caballero, whose save at 1-0 on 35 mins, helped create the base from which we sprang forward. His feet might not be as good as Bravo's, but his hands are better. Today, we needed one of those hands to stop the wobblies and continue to press forward.
