Palace - Post Match Thread

Proper performance today plenty of players stepped up, De Bruyne and Silva were class, as were the back 4. Always good to see Vinny score as well. Jesus' movement was brilliant.

Getting that 1st goal is so important to the way we play and to score it that early was just a bonus.

Pundits will point to how bad Palace were , but they worked their socks off trying to close us down in the 1st half we were just too good on the day , second goal finished the game as a contest , every city player was a 7 or 8 out of ten today and just hope we give Leicester the same treatment next week , we owe them big time.

Completely agree. We've let ourselves down badly against them in recent games, and I'd like to see that partly rectified next week.

Vincent Kompany could be in bed with any City fans missus and the first thing they'd do is ask him how he felt when he scored that header against Utd.

At one point in the first half, City had 83% possession, and ended the game at 73% and over 20 shots.

Palace weren't bad, City made the look bad.

Seems no matter what we do, it's not good enough for some so called pundits, almost none of whom could have got a game in this team!

Oh, what a game, what a beautiful game! From the first 5 min when we had 2 shots from outside the box I knew that this is going to be a different game, a more direct game. What an enjoyable game that was.

Great performance all round and I didn't think that Palace were actually that bad. They were better than a few teams we've struggled against. Difficult to choose a Motm but Silva and Otamendi possibly just shaded it. Good goals as well.

Much needed win today. Nice little morale booster for the remaining fixtures. Just hope so'ton do us a favour tomorrow now! well done blues.

Well that goes down as one of the best days I've ever had with city. Too see my little lad walk out with tge players holding Fernandinhos hand on his first ever game gave me the biggest buzz I can remember. His first game, won five nil and a fantastic performance, it ain't all doom and gloom any more.
