All US aid to Israel gets spent on US hardware; this consists of 15-20% of Israel's defence budget or about 1% of its GDP so if the US withdrew the funding, it wouldn't actually make a massive difference.

I would say that 15-20 % is substantial.

Your point about it being spent on US hardware kind of proves the point when some buffoon is pointing out that the aid given to the Palestinian authority is ALL spent on rockets.

15-20% of the defence budget or 1% of GDP is substantial, however I wouldn't call it enough to "prop up the regime" as some posters are saying.
