Paris Saint-Germain (A) - CL | Post-Match Thread

Bit of a rope a dope performance from PSG. We had lots of possession but very little cutting edge.
Sterling twice, Bernardo from one yard hits the bar, Ruben free header from 5 yards out should score, Mahrez had a few chances and forced a good save. We created plenty and should of taken at least one of them before they scored their second.

Not worreid about the performance as we played very well

But goals win games and we are not very effective at putting the ball in the net...Mahrez, Sterling, Grealish, KDB, Bernardo......none of them are goal scorers...andthe ones onthe bench aint much better if at all.....

this will hold us back

Thought we played quite well. Better 1st half than 2nd. They overloaded their penalty area and made it difficult for us to work anything through there during the second half. I would have liked us to move the ball quicker across the line outside the penalty area and test the keeper more, as I thought that he was their weakest link, and we would have had more chances of picking up 2nd balls off his parries/mistakes.
Still...not too worried about the result, they took their chances whereas we didn't tonight. I've certainly not seen anything to panic about.

Can't complain, got what we deserved from that. Whole defensive line, back 4, keeper, Rodri and Bernardo were all very good, no criticism of them at all. Going forward we were toothless, had chances to score but overall we didn't create enough, didn't look that dangerous either and they looked comfortable. Too slow. Mahrez had some moments where he looked threatening, wasn't terrible but has to offer more, not enough from him. Kdb got better but overall was terrible, that's two really poor performances in a row now that's a concern for Liverpool. Similarly with Grealish, offered nothing going forward didn't put in the work rate again. Sterling did what sterling of the last 18 months does, nothing. Not entirely his fault as I don't think anybody else in that position would have done much better tonight but he doesn't help himself with some terrible control and looking generally disinterested.

Result isn't a disaster so long as we do the business against Brugge in the next two games although we now can't qualify until the penultimate game even if everything goes in our favour. Should have rested some players it's going to look foolish now if we look leggy at the weekend and it costs us points.
reading that it makes me wonder how we have ever won a game!
