Paris Saint-Germain (A) - CL | Post-Match Thread

They were nothing special and we had more than enough chances to beat them.
We hardly broke sweat and I hope that is because we also had Liverpool in mind at the weekend.

I reckon if it was a shit or bust game tonight we would have stuffed them, I'm not too worried about the performance as I know we have a lot more in reserve.

Liverpool will be a lot harder game than PSG, If we get a result and the weekend I'll be over the moon.

I have no doubt that if we need to beat this lot down the line we will.

This, although I could actually see us winning the group and not needing to beat them. I think we may win our other 3 and draw with these but think they will drop points again elsewhere, as I feel they are complacent.

They won’t be as organised against other teams and will let their guard down.. they aren’t a fluid unit and could see them messing up the group or at least going out to lesser opponents in the early knockouts. Not convinced by them in the slightest if I’m honest.

Thought it was a decent performance away from home against the favourites fir the competition, poor defending for the first goal and their second is a great strike. Only negative for me was Sterling, he just doesn't have the touch to hold onto the ball when played down the middle. Bring on the Scousers.

Have slightly mixed feelings about this week so far.

Good news is: we dominated Chelsea at Chelsea, and PSG in Paris.

Bad news is: despite all the chances we created in those 2 games, we scored just one (deflected) goal.

If we dominate at Anfield and don't score again, it will surely raise some doubts about the "we don't need a proven goalscorer" mantra ?
