He and his German team of official's stitched us up at Anfield in 2018, when they ignored a stonewall penalty right in front of the goal line official, allowed Liverpool an offside goal and incorrectly disallowed a City goal. All that made our second leg incredibly difficult!

Could have been worse.

I really hope Pep goes into this game telling the players that when they play well, no team in Europe will beat them. And that's true. If we press, pass well and take chances then I can only see one outcome. If they don't have the ball, Mbappe can run round as much as he wants, he'll wear himself out.

I really, really hope he doesn't "do a Haaland" on them and put the fear of God into them about Mbappe and Neymar. Yes they are superb players and they are very fast, but we need to concentrate on our game rather than coming up with some bizarre formation to counter their pace. We absolutely shouldn't be moving Walker from right back as that's the only position he can play. They aren't Barcelona at their peak so let's have no silly stuff from Pep please!

PSG will be worried about Gundogan, Foden, KdB, Silva and Mahrez. I bet they don't come up too often against teams like City in France where they have the majority of possession. It will be something new for them, so let's make it count.

I really hope we turn up for this one. We absolutely need to score a goal at their place to make sure we have an away goal to hold on to.

I'm not a fan of the CL but I am looking forward to this game. I do think that if Pep focusses on us rather than the opponents we can with the CL this year.

COME ON CITY!!

I’m not having this uefa stitch us crap
We beat them last time we played them in the quarters
It’s up to us now to show up and put in a big performance
Play our game control the ball, stop the counter and take our chances
They are a good team with two superstars whereas we are a great team

I agree with this, if we take our chances we won't need to go on about how uefa stitched us up.

As long as we have more of a go as we did vs Real Madrid. Was the time I really fell out with Pellegrini. We were awful in the away leg and defended a 0-1 defeat. I thought he was keeping it tight to have a go in the last 15 minutes. But there was nothing. Shades of Jamie Pollock keep ball vs Liverpool all those moons ago without the excuse of confusion.

I fear this will be a step too far with Mbappe/Neymar in the form of their life and UEFA stitching us up with corrupt officials as a slap on the wrist for the super league.

PSG 3
Manchester City 1
We managed to nullify the anticipated threat from Haaland, then we snuffed out Kane & Son. The PSG pair are a step up, as you say, but Stones, Dias, Walker & Rodri (or Pep's pick)) will, hopefully, rise to the occasion and keep them subdued.

They can’t do those offside fuck ups this as we have var and I don’t remember him being too bad when we beat Madrid at home last year?

We'll beat them over 2 legs if we're more clinical , hopefully we won't need 20 chances per goal.

Yeah that match was really disappointing.
