Paris Saint-Germain (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

Rio just said at 22 Messi wasnt doing what Mbappe is doing now. Didnt he win the champ league and score a shit ton of goals at 22 for Barca??
They talk this unresearched shit because they never get called out on it…. It’s just the visual incarnation of the clueless daily, written media bollocks.. Mbappe is a great player but Messi at his age was a billion miles ahead in every single stat they could care to mention, if they ever researched it… Fuckin clueless cunts the lot of em…!!

completely agree with your post, what I would add is the need for season ticket holders who don't attend Champions League matches please come to the next round because the day trippers/ tourists do my head in , why do they have to film everything on their phones.
Because they are tourists, capturing a memento of their trip.
Don't knock them, they help pay the wages.

It's my adopted home city so I'm a bit biased, but I love the place. It's well worth a visit, and especially at that time of year (just before the White Nights). The twinning with Manchester seems dormant now. When I came back here in 2007, there used to be various exchange visits and events that I'd often go to, but I've heard of nothing for ages. The link still technically in existence, though.
Of course, that's where you live! Oh god, I bet you dream of nothing else but winning the thing for the first time there. I think I'd be securing tickets now.

Having watched Messi and Fakeronaldo over the last couple of weeks and their ridiculous wage demands , we have definitely dodged a bullet , neither of them can be considered team players and throughout their careers have only played for themselves and their own personal glory. No doubt they will still have flashes of genius in the occasional game but these two would never currently make a solid contribution to a club with Premier league aspirations.
But the PSG & Rag hierarchy can at least console themselves with their record shirt sales and the tills still ringing constantly.

I've just had a text from a friend whose family live in Scotland and she said her two nephews aged 12 and 16 were down with a school trip last night and didn't get home until 3.00am. One of them couldn't speak this morning but had the time of their lives and want to come back as soon as possible!! Brilliant, we are bringing the new fans from everywhere.
Even with a 3.00am arrival they were up for school this morning!! Probably wanting to tell all their mates about the whole experience. :-)

It's occasions like this that secure fans for life. Kids want atmosphere as well as good football. In front of me was a foreign family, no idea where from and they looked out of place, but it was heartwarming to me to see them stood up chanting "City" like they'd been going since the Main Road days.

When I posted my message last night about Messi walking more slowly than I do I fully expected people to 'shout' me down but have been really cheered up to realise that it wasn't just me who felt that way.

What I really loved last night though out of everything was the continued chants of Sergio and the 'this is what it's like to be City about our Sergio and that Jones the face man. :-)
Brilliant.

has anybody said anything about city coming back from a goal down to win
its rare we come back from 1.0 to win never mind doing it vs a very strong PSG front line

i think it sent out a message last night to the rest in the champions league that we going to be hard to beat
also 3 big players missing and still come back to win and top the group. people was saying well PSG knew they had qualified for the knockouts and turned off. bollocks they wanted to beat us last night big time

duracell battery bernardo silva is a gift from the gods ? the media believed he was leaving in the summer for peanuts
well he is worth more than all the superstars wages put together for this club and team. get him signed on a long term contract and never ever think about selling him again

I've seen people having a go a Pep for starting Zinchenko & not starting KDB, Foden & Grealish.

1. It's confirmed they were either injured or carrying knocks.

2. Pep has definitely learned from last seasons UCL Final, where he inexplicably went without Fern or Rodders as CDM's. Last night we play a familiar formation, & brought in the best players to fill the positions.

3. On reflection, Pep could have started Jesus, but he went with the more solid & safe choice of Zin. We lacked the central midfield creativity we sometimes take for granted, so Pep observed our safety first approach, & changed it as soon as it was necessary.

4. If not for the lack of a clinical world class striker, I'd be supremely confident this season. We've played more expansive football before, but NEVER have we looked a more complete package than we do right now.

5. Grealish needs time, & Sterling needs the opportunity to fully regain his confidence & form. For Grealish, see Rodri. For Sterling, see Bernardo.

6. Finally, we were fuckin awesome last night! The crazy thing is I thought we played better in Paris, & were undone by two sublime goals, & our own profligacy in front of goal...

A world class striker ASAP please Txiki! :-)

Official Attendance: 52,030

It looked completely full to me. Maybe a few more seats than usual lost to segregation.
There were a couple of hundred empty at the front and back of the PSG end. Every other seat in the house and the corporate areas was sold and taken.

Every year since we started qualifying for this tournament, I've been hoping that we'll draw Zenit. Unfortunately, we never have. This would be on a completely different level, though.

They should have done a collective dive in front of the cheating whining tossers, then rolled over and over feigning injury. Then dragged that disrespectful rag bastard Herrera by the hair to the club crest near the players entrance and rubbed his face in it
I have honestly never seen such pathetic injury acting in my life. The slightest nudge, & the PSG players were tumbling over like they'd been shot by a sniper! :-|
