Paris Saint-Germain (H) - CL SF | Post-Match Thread

Absolute class!
The manager's first words were for the players on the bench, actually apologizing for not using them. And then for all those generations of players that served the club in the past, making City what they are...

And if that wasn't enough to bring tears into people's eyes, here comes Ruben. 23 fucking years old, on his first ever season, already embodying the squad's unity. All teammates important, those on the bench as well...

Congratulations son. To your parents first of all, for the way they brought you up. And like others, I will not vote for MOM. City were the absolute definition of a TEAM last night, it would be disrespectful to everyone else, they all deserve it 100%...

I’m an old bugger now so only usually jump out of my seat for goals but that block from Zinchenko had me up on my feet celebrating. Superb performance from all the boys but I thought he just edged Man of the match.
I too am a (very) old bloke.

The last time I "jumped" out of my seat was after Kun's goal against Palace.

By the time I struggled back into my seat Mahrez scored his second last night...

The last 4 games Qtr & semis have been the best I've witnessed, I was bricking it in all 4 games why cos I'm a blue who knows nothing more

Now is the time to get down on 1 knee & tip my hat to the best coach in World Football
The players have bought into it & executed exactly what the manager wanted
That starting 11 was sensational to a man everyone of them
Stones & Dias outrageous Berny & Mahrez ran that arses off & Phil & Kev are on the same wavelength its poetry in motion
Dias will win PPOY & the Ballon Dor
I haven't been worried about any game for awhile myself, but I felt absolutely knackered by the end of the game last night. Slept like a baby :)

I forget how many times the BT commentators spouted "Of course it might be a different outcome if Mbappe was playing". Well he DID playing in the first leg...
I think Mbappe got more mentions than anyone actually on the pitch.
And in that first game, he didn’t have one fucking shot.

The point about the "dark arts" is its meant to be subtle, put pressure on the ref, and drag the opposition team into the game you want to play. The only team PSG managed to drag into their own bullshit were PSG and possibly, for the briefest moment, Zinch. Fernandinho outplayed them on that front, and then Mahrez and Jesus took the piss out them knowing they'd draw fouls that should probably have been red. There is a genuine art to "dark arts" and PSG haven't mastered it at all.
This.
Trying to boot the opposition off the pitch isn't what you call the "dark arts", that's just thuggery.
Fernandinho, on the other hand...

Well done City that was fucking off the scale last night. Each and every one of you take a bow.
PSg were a fucking disgrace after the 2nd goal but I guess that has been given a pass.
Now lets get the bastard won !!!

PSG have the touch of the rags about them.

Reminded me of the Wembley semi.
I said that earlier. The last team to lose it like that against us was United in that game. It’s when a team think they are the bee’s knees but then they meet their Daddy. It’s a shock to the system to release your time has gone.
