Some very funny bits, but overall I was a bit disappointed. Maybe I had too high expectations, but thought it was a bit hit and miss. Still better than most British TV comedies, obviously, but not up to the standard of the earlier series. Hopefully it’ll pick up next week.

In the past, I’ve often found Partridge is funnier upon a second viewing. I thought it was ok.

It was never going to be as good as the last ones. I think they should have done another ‘I’m Alan Partridge’ as there’s more scope for plots and gags than the confines of a TV studio. I did laugh a couple of times but overall it was a bit meh

Enjoyed it. Typical Alan when he changed a description of ‘bosomy downs’ to the more “politically correct” ‘like a smooth, fat teenage boy’. Look forward to the next one.

I thought it was ok but it wasn't a patch on the originals,so i suspect this new series will only appeal to those that grew up with his material.Newcomers will struggle to find any love for the character or the style of humour.

Overall,good to see him back on our screens.
