'judging by the sale of Ibrahimovic shirts alone last week, Woodward does not have to be shown what being successful means. They will probably be outdone by Pogba shirts.'

So we can expect the open bus parade from Stretford Town Hall as the trophylless players proudly hold shirts aloft.

I can't decide whether rags are stupid enough to believe the 'shirt sales alone will pay for the player within a year' line, or they believe if they say it enough times it will come true?

Been told this morning that in the 'rags megastore' they have 3 shirts in a display cabinet, a blue one, white one and a red one all in that order, it means they're definitely signing Pogba according to the 39 year old rag prick!!

39 fucking years old and believes shite like that..

Just ludicrous that it hasn't been sorted. Mind you, the Rags may well still be arguing about the outrageous agents fee.

So, the vast majority who bought an Ibrahimovic shirt are going to fork out an additional £65 (or whatever they charge) on top to get a Pogba shirt? I'm sure some will, but your average fan won't be able to afford two shirts.

Also, I read on here that Adidas get all the money from shirt sales, so United won't get an extra penny on top of what they are getting each year for shirt sponsorship. The shirt sponsorship will go a long way to paying for Pogba and Ibrahimovic though.

Anyone over the age of 16 who believes shirt sales cover big transfers should be fucked off from all things football until they sort their shitty little lives out.

But they will bend over and take if it means getting a player they are so desperate to re sign.

I was thinking that Adidas would want it announced ASAP so they could start knocking shirts out,as you say, most rags will of bought other shirts by now and won't be buying another. Will that of cost Pogba too?
On what clubs get regards shirt sales,I read an article a good while back,it said that for every Liverpool shirt sold at £50,Warrior got £47.50.
If that's true or not,I don't know, but I can't see a manufacturer paying a club a big wedge and NOT taking a huge majority of the spoils.

Sorry, have I missed something? What proof do these papers actually have other than their own sexual fantasies?
