saw him playing very deep with almost all the play in front of him. Only the French central defenders and keeper were behind him. He was used as a very deep lying midfielder to distribute the ball and as a defensive shield for the defence to stop and Portuguese counter-attacks. It was defensive overkill. Your observation is fair but criticism for the effect should be directed at Deschamps not Pogba
 
The price is the thing.

Attempts to make out he's some kind of failure for not winning France the euros, are ridiculous. If they had a 25 year old Henry instead of Giroud or the vastly overrated Griesmann then they would have won easilly & people would be praising Pogba for his disciplined performance.

As it was, they had nothing up front & two headless runners in midfield.

But no way on earth can anyone say Pogba is a 100 mil player, irrespective.

That doesn't mean he won't be really fucking good, for whoever signs him. He will.
 
I think I've watched Pogba play around 20 times now, since we were first linked a couple of years ago. All in Champions league, and internationals (no league games). I'm still yet to see him play outstandingly well. I genuinely think he's one of the most overrated players I've ever seen.

With the right players around him,he has been and will be a class act.
He won't get that at the rags,IMO.

Thankfully Ed Woodward is involved, hes a fucking chancer, Id love to know what Ferguson and Charlton think of Pogba potentially signing for £100million.

You just dont spend that sort of money on a player-certainly not one who fucked off sticking two fingers up on a free.

United have lost there morality and you know what City are one big fuck off spanner in there works and they dont like it, Mourinho must be laughing his tits off at Woodward.

I find it impossible to believe he would sign for them, he is far better staying where he is, but if he does...

Well imagine the shit we would get, if we signed Dennus Suarez for 100 mil. We are getting our noses rubbed in it now for letting a bang average player leave, as Barca have signed him.
 
Yeah, he's not shit. He's very very good. Worth £100m. Nowhere near. Less than half that. But, he will improve them greatly. So, no matter how much they are being ripped off for him, i'd rather he didn't go there.

I agree with the latter sentence though. He is a quality player, perhaps British transfer record money, but the point is he's not worth even close to £100million and when even Real Madrid, a team with a philosophy of signing big name/overpriced players (who won't have another transfer window for three years,) balk at the cost, you know it's obscene money.

I'm sorry but just because you go missing in 2 games doesn't mean he goes missing in big games. I could give you examples of big games where messi went missing but that doesn't prove anything.

Agree with the 2nd statement though
