Paul Pogba

His best complete midfield performance was when he had Pirlo who was a master of Serie A and Vidal working hard to allow Pogba the moments of brilliance and the ability to bomb foward and create or score vine worthy goals. He loses them, moves further foward and yes he leads in assists but with the team in a bit of transition he wasn't able to lead the club any further in CL. He's terrible in a 2 no matter how you slice it, he's just not there yet. Madrid's 3 with Casemiro him and Kroos/Modric would be perfect but they are pricing themselves out. You would be forcing him into United's team to make it work but they still don't have the quality in the MF, it would be him and aging players. United buying him/Matuidi at the same time still doesn't help there cause but screw them.

He really should just stick it out at Juve but decide once and for all who does he want to be, does he want to be a 6 an 8 or a 10. Master one then see if you can move around but him trying to cover all these positions now has him exposed at the moment.

He's a top player, regardless of what he's done in the Euros. He's getting slaughtered on here because he might be going to the Rags, and also the absolutely ludicrous transfer fee.

However, the transfer fee is all to do with the buying club and their sponsors. It will be huge news if an English club pays the first £100m+ transfer fee. I didn't for one second think Bale was worth anywhere near £85m, in fact I thought Real paid double what he was worth. It will be the same if the Rags pay that money for Pogba, way, way too much, but it will be as much about business as it will be about football.

I don't watch the Italian league matches so I have only seen Pogba frequently in the champions league, but have seen a lot of him in this tournament. And my judgement is based on that. There is no way he is a £100m player, at best he is £40m. He was actually shocking in the final last night, he gave France no options at all and at some points he looked lost....I am glad we won't be spending anywhere near that amount from signinghim, lets go and get 2-3 class players in midfield instead.

Bale wasn't worth £85m, but he's still twice the player Pogba is.

It's nothing to do with the rags getting him and everything to do with the fact he's not worth the asking price, the ridiculous agent fees and the wage structure reset.

Right now, Pogba is at most a £60m player. Lots of potential, flashes of brilliance, goes missing in big games, young, greedy. His performance in the Euros was uncharacteristically dire, but still closer to his norm than suggesting he's in the company of Messi etc. There's a reason United are seen as having a clear run for him.

All these things hold true even if he doesn't end up with the rags.

Biggest game of his career and went missing, we all know he's better than last night but I'd be concerned he couldn't find himself on his biggest stage to date.

Just because he was shite at the euros doesn't mean he goes missing in the big games.

Plus United are in the clear run because no one thinks he's worth 100 mil and even though I'm a fan of his I don't think he's worth that much either

He went missing in the biggest game of his career last night. The second biggest game of his career, the Champions League final 2015, he not only went missing he missed a sitter as his side were outclassed by a team with players actually worth £100million.

I agree with the latter sentence though. He is a quality player, perhaps British transfer record money, but the point is he's not worth even close to £100million and when even Real Madrid, a team with a philosophy of signing big name/overpriced players (who won't have another transfer window for three years,) balk at the cost, you know it's obscene money.

Considering Real have supposedly pulled out of the race to sign him, I find it odd that bookies are still offering just over evens that he signs for them this summer.
This could be one of those examples where hardball gets the man for a much more reasonable price. Though I'm betting on him staying at Juve now. Get some more wins under his belt so the price can go back up.

Pogba did nothing wrong at all imo.

Very selfless job passing to athletes who ran about but no footballers to work with, worked his balls off tracking back to slow down the opposition. Grew increasingly frustrated at the total lack of movement ahead of him.

Why he was left there watching a bunch of headless chickens run head first into Pepe, I've no idea. Perhaps he is the only player the manager trusts to not lose the ball.
