When Ake plays, we are much more of a threat from corners. It’s not just who takes them, it’s the players’ movements and desire too.

The margin between hitting the first man and over hitting the ball is much smaller than you think it is.

Why would I want to buy a season ticket at Burnley? We don’t need a beanpole striker. We need to pose a real threat from corners - we get so many in every match. Really poor teams are just so much better at corners than us. We’ve had NO discernible improvement in this under Pep. Can’t see Liam Delap at City in the future - 2 appearances in 2 years. He’s too tall!!

We have scored more set piece goals than anyone else. We do ok.

Really poor teams spend most of their time practising them as it’s their only opportunity to score. We still score a similar amount to them though, meaning their extra time doesn’t actually achieve much.

We don’t have that time on the training ground as we play every 3 days.

What have scoring from corners got to do with Liam Delap? When was his last goal from a corner in the EDS?
 
For the love of god can someone, anybody please gazump us.
This guy moves into space when the opposition has possession so he doesn’t have to mark anybody.

Stick to your stats - it seems to make you happy. We are a joke at corners and that is reflected in the Forum posts. Liam Delap is an example of an Academy player who has had very little encouragement to remain at MCFC. I have no idea when his last goal from a corner in the EDS was …but guessing that it came from a well struck corner that didn’t hit the first defender.

Ok, stats are facts at the end of the day.

How you feel about our corners isn't a fact.

You mentioning Delap is bizarre. He’s not good enough to be our first team striker. We can’t bring him on as part of a set piece team, so anything else is just noise. Especially as he has no real reputation for scoring from corners.

You seem to demand that every corner kick is delivered perfectly onto the head of moving players. You know that involves a lot of luck, right?
